Save Carlitos!

Gentrification is affecting East Harlem making it impossible for long time residents and small businesses to afford the new rent prices. After being opened for five years, Carlitos is at the risk of closing its doors. The new rent for next year is unreasonable. In order to Save Carlitos we are mobilizing you! You can help:

* Join the movement of people who are making sure Carlitos does not leave the neighborhood.

* Donate your time and or simply organize parties at Carlitos

* Come by and support the many events and activities

* Tell a friend about Carlitos

* Spread the wealth email our calendar of events to all your people

* Support other small and local businesses

* Give Luis a hug; he needs a girlfriend

* And most importantly please don't come in with your own drinks, we know there is a bodega next door to us but please respect Carlitos !

* buy something at Carlitos; we don't just sell drinks but also have CDs, children books, books, artesanias from Bolivia, Peru and Mexico, coffee that supports small cooperatives.
