This night will replicate the streets of Veracurz as Semilla brings the zapateada y el son to Carlitos. As you enjoy the live music, you can try the delicious café de olla con pan o los dulces tamales de mole with an invigorating dose of our house pulque. DJ Nativo will play his usual beats of Mexican mix tapping the extraordinary diversity of traditional Mexican music—from Quebradita to Mariachi to Son Jarocho—DJ Nativo fuses Mexican rhythms with the sounds of Cuba, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.

About Semilla: Semilla, a community-based Son Jarocho group, offers an evening of music, dance, sweet Mexican pulque and delicious tamales. Semilla is a collective of Mexican musicians and dancers living in New York who perform Son Jarocho, a musical blend of Indian, African, and Spanish sounds that originated in the Gulf Coast of México in the Sotavento region.
